Description

All rentals are guided, and you will absolutely get the best possible experience with a local guide. If riding with a guide is a new concept to you, call us, we're happy to explain what our typical ride is all about. For us, it comes down to offering a pure & complete experience for our guests. We know the terrain, the bikes, and where to find the best snow for our riders. We love to ride, just like you, so expect that we'll use our years of knowledge to set you up with the best day possible. In terms of winter backcountry experiences where Heli Ski drops are the highest dynamic level, a guided snow bike trip would share next in line with a backcountry cat skiing trip. What we offer is much different than the guided snowmobile tour on the groomed trail.

Snow biking is one of the most highly advanced forms of winter backcountry travel. There are no beginner routes. These highly modified, high performance machines have the ability to take you places that are very difficult to access with anything else other than a snow bike. You will be riding on hills, near trees, over bumps, on soft snow, hard snow, and travel through remote locations with no trail designations. Signing up for a tour with us implies that you are capable and willing to travel through such terrain, and are prepared for in-climate weather with the proper gear. If you or any member in your group shows up un-prepared either in skills or gear, we reserve the right to cancel your trip due to safety concerns.

Trips are not exclusive to your group. We try not to combine groups if possible, and typically manage this with our AM/PM tours. In any event, if you would like to ensure an exclusive trip, please add the Exclusive Trip to your cart on checkout, or give us a call at 541-728-1119.

Group size is max 3 clients. If you are a solo rider we include 2 guides based on safety considerations for both client and our primary guide. There is an additional fee for the extra guide.

Please arrive 1/2 hour early with gear on ready to go. You will transfer your water, food, and gear into one of our backpacks for the day. Our bags come set up with a two way radio, spare goggles, spare gloves, and avalanche gear.

The knowledge of local terrain, routes, conditions, and backcountry operations allows us to help maximize your snow bike experience. Our aim is to keep you safe while riding the best terrain suited to your abilities, as conditions allow. We practice safe backcountry travel techniques, monitor group dynamics, provide proper trip planning/navigation, and have emergency backup plans and resources as needed. The guiding services we provide are based on skills learned from consistently being in the backcountry along with techniques learned from AIARE Avalanche coursework.

Our standard ride and guide package is the best braaap for your buck. With up to 3hrs of ride time, we've found that it is about the perfect length of time for most clients to enjoy their day snow biking before they're ready to relax for the day.

Please consider the ability and conditioning level of all members in your group when selecting your tour duration.

Custom ride reservations can be made by request. Clients who request must have previously ridden with Cascade Snow Bike, or provide a riding resume of pertinent backcountry travel, and dirtbike riding accomplishments.

Even for custom trips we do limit our group size to no more than 3 riders. Call us to discuss how you would like to design your custom ride to see if we can accomodate your preferences, and we will determine a price for your trip. 541-728-1119

An example Custom Ride, is a full immersion into backcountry snow bike riding with 5-6hrs of ride time. With ample time to cover various terrain, we can focus on cross country boondock riding, put in a turn track, find some hills to play in, or take the long cruise out the Elk Lake Backcountry Resort for some lunch.

Along with the riding we are able to share tips and knowledge of bike setup, discuss avalanche safety and rescue tips, gear setup, and show you some of the tools of the trade to navigate the mountains confidently.

Please consider the ability and conditioning level of all members in your group when planning your custom ride.
